Our Mission

As a lodge of the Vasa Order of America, Spiran Lodge welcomes men and women over 14 years of age of Nordic roots (Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian or Swedish) and their spouses who would like to rediscover the traditions of their forefathers or share their Nordic heritage. The Vasa Order also welcomes individuals of non-Nordic ancestry who are interested in Nordic culture.

Events

Join us at our monthly lodge and activities meetings or the many events we hold throughout the year, such as our Swedish Pancake Breakfast, Midsommar, and Jul Fest. Fundraising event proceeds benefit the Spiran Lodge Scholarship Fund.

Monthly Meetings

Join us at one of our monthly Lodge Meetings at Spiran Hall on the first Friday of most months. Meetings begin at 7:00 pm, or at 6:30 pm when a potluck dinner is scheduled. Activities meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the second or third Wednesday of most months.

Swedish Pancake Breakfast

At Sprian Lodge’s pancake breakfast, guests have a great breakfast, enjoy the friendship of their neighbors, and pick up some delicious sweet treats at the Nordic bake table. Everyone is happy with their breakfast of Swedish pancakes, fruit cup, sausage, juice, and coffee.

Midsommar Fest

An ancient tradition, Midsommar celebrates the peak of summer with flower wreaths, songs, and maypole dances. Spiran Lodge hosts an annual Midsommar Festival in June, offering Nordic delights, music, and a festive atmosphere at Spiran Hall in Rockport.

Julfest

With aromatic cardamom bread, pickled herring, and Swedish sausage, Julfest is a feast of authentic delicacies. The event, filled with music, carols, and the St. Lucia procession, embodies the spirit of community and tradition, welcoming all to celebrate Scandinavian heritage.
